Nantikan kemunculannya. Filem Ombak Rindu terbitan Astro Shaw dengan kerjasama Tarantella Pictures merupakan hasil adaptasi daripada novel popular nukilan Fauziah Ashari.

SINOPSIS FILEM:

Izzah (Maya Karin), gadis yatim piatu yang kematian ibu dan ayah akibat kemalangan jalan raya. Justeru itu, ayah saudaranya, Taha, mengambil tugas memelihara Izzah. Pada masa sama, Pak Cik Taha banyak berhutang. Disebabkan kesempitan wang dia sanggup menjual Izzah kepada seorang tauke kelab malam.

Di situlah dia berkenalan dengan seorang pelanggan bernama Hariz (Aaron Aziz). Hariz sanggup ‘membeli’ Izzah dengan harga yang mahal dari tauke kelab itu dan mahu membawa dia keluar dari neraka jahanam itu.

Atas permintaan Izzah, akhirnya Hariz berkahwin dengan Izzah, tetapi dengan syarat semuanya mesti dirahsiakan.

Kehadiran Mila Amylia (Lisa Surihani), anak Tan Sri Rashdan, model dan pelakon terkenal akhirnya menggugat kebahagiaan Izzah dan Hariz.

Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, BERLINALE akan dikunjungi oleh selebriti terkenal dunia di karpet merah. Masih terbayang-bayang suasana karpet merah sempena kehadiran Danial Craig dulu. Saya dimaklumkan SRK dan Kajol akan hadir sempena Tayangan Perdana My Name is Khan. Kalau hendak ke karpet merah kali ini, saya harus lebih bersedia. Tak mahu pengalaman mendapat tandatangan Danial Craig di belakang buku Deutsche abang berulang kembali (boleh baca entri saya terdahulu tentang pengalaman bertentang mata dengan hero 007 ni). Hehe...saya harus shopping dulu...Tshirt SRK dan Kajol barangkali?

Sekitar Asian Women's Film Festival di Berlin

Asian Women's Film Festival yang bermula pada 15 Oktober lalu akan berlangsung selama 5 hari di Kino Arsenal, Postdamer Platz, Berlin dimulakan dengan tayangan pembukaan filem dari Malaysia, Talentime arahan Yasmin Ahmad. Filem ini dipilih sebagai filem pembukaan festival sebagai 'tribute' penganjur kepada Allahyarham Yasmin Ahmad yang telah kembali ke Rahmatulah bulan Julai yang lalu.

Abang sempat menghadiri tayangan pembukaan tersebut. Berikut adalah gambar-gambar sekitar majlis pembukaan festival filem tersebut di Kino Arsenal, Berlin.

Asian Women's Film Festival di Berlin

Asian Women' Film Festival yang akan berlangsung dari 15 hingga 20 Oktober 2009 ini di Berlin akan memberi penghargaan kepada Allahyarham Yasmin Ahmad apabila filem arahan beliau Talentime akan ditayangkan sebagai tayangan pembukaan festival filem tersebut.

Ahmad’s work has strongly influenced the themes and aesthetics of the new Malaysian cinema, and has introduced it to an international audience.

Gan Jiunn Wei: I thought it was interesting and confusing as well because I haven't been following the films. The pacing was too slow for me in terms of how they speak and even the delivery of the action scenes. Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars.

Kevin Miau: The film was okay. I have been following the previous Harry Potter films and I can say that "The Goblet Of Fire" was much better. Only 3 stars for this movie.

Daniel Lee Yi Hoong: I'm a Harry Potter follower of the books and films, and I felt that they didn't elaborate further on the Half-Blood Prince when they should. Moreover, it was a bit draggy. To me "The Goblet Of Fire" and "The Order Of The Phoenix" was much better as more magic was being displayed. I'd give 3 stars.

Ng Siok Hiong: I've watched the previous five films and I can say that this was the worst movie among the rest. It felt way too commercial at this stage, I couldn't sense the climax and there wasn't much elaboration on the Half-Blood Prince. I'd rate it with 2 stars.

NEW YORK - Filem keenam siri ahli sihir remaja,Harry Potter yang mula ditayangkan esok dijangka 'meletup' di pawagam dan akan mendapat sambutan hangat daripada peminat seluruh dunia.

Namun, pengarah siri ketujuh dan terakhir filem Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince itu, David Yates menjanjikan penutup Harry Potterakan jauh lebih hebat.

"Filem penutup itu tak ubah seperti sebuah epik. Ia menampilkan lebih banyak adegan menarik. Ia penuh dengan adegan pertempuran, naga dan peperangan," katanya.

Antara pelakon filem itu ialah Daniel Radcliffe, Ema Watson, Rupert Grint, James Phelps dan Oliver Phelps.

Di Amerika Syarikat (AS), filem Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince menerima kritikan positif manakala beratus-ratus panggung wayang di AS mencatat tempahan penuh bagi tayangan pembukaan filem tersebut.

Novelist: J.K. Rowling (The woman who give us Harry Potter)

Joanne "Jo" Murray, born 31 July 1965), who writes under the pen name, J. K. Rowling,is a British author, best known as the creator of the Harry Potter fantasy series. The Potter books have gained worldwide attention, won multiple awards, and sold more than 400 million copies.

Aside from writing the Potter novels, Rowling is perhaps equally famous for her "rags the riches" life story, in which she progressed from living on welfare to multi-millionaire status within five years. The 2008 Sunday Times Rich List estimated Rowling's fortune at £560 million ($798 million), ranking her as the twelfth richest woman in Britain. Forbes ranked Rowling as the forty-eighth most powerful celebrity of 2007.

In 1995, Rowling finished her manuscript for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on an old manual typewriter. Upon the enthusiastic response of Bryony Evans, a reader who had been asked to review the book’s first three chapters, the Fulham-based Christopher Little Literary Agents agreed to represent Rowling in her quest for a publisher. The book was submitted to twelve publishing houses, all of which rejected the manuscript. A year later she was finally given the green light (and a £1500 advance) by editor Barry Cunningham from Bloomsbury, a small British publishing house in London, England. The decision to publish Rowling's book apparently owes much to Alice Newton, the eight-year-old daughter of Bloomsbury’s chairman, who was given the first chapter to review by her father and immediately demanded the next.
